


Zotero should insert the formatted citations used in your manuscript. When you have completed your manuscript, position your cursor where you would like to insert your formatted references and click Add/Edit Bibliography. From the classic view, you would then click on your desired reference and click the OK button. If you would rather scroll through your Zotero library, you can use the drop down menu next to the Zotero icon to switch to classic view. If you know any details about the reference you want to insert, such as author name, you can start typing it into the box and Zotero should start pulling up a list of choices that you can click on and insert in your paper (see first picture below). When you click on Add/Edit Citation in Zotero, a red search box will pop up. You do have to open your Zotero desktop client first before you can insert citations into your Word document. To get citations from Ebsco, you can either export them directly to Mendeley with the browser extension or you can export the citations in an RIS file and then manually import the file into Mendeley.Zotero's plug-in will typically install a tab in Microsoft Word's task bar along the top.Your Endnote Basic library is fully searchable, can be organized into groups, and can be shared with. You can input groups of references from databases or add them in one at a time. Mendeley has many video tutorials available to help you along the way! Expanded Endnote Basic is online software that helps you to collect and manage a library of citations and output them in any of over 6000 bibliographic formats.Finally, download and install the web reference browser extension to capture references from the internet.If you have Microsoft Word or Libre Office installed on your computer, a citation plug-in is available to download under the "tools" menu in the Mendeley desktop client.After account creation, download the desktop client.To get started with Mendeley, create an account.
